We have found dual photos always to be favorites, because they give athletes an opportunity to display their physiques in a natural manner devoid of the possible Narcisstic interpretation of the studied solo pose. The print below is from the new XQ13 catalog. ....Letter from a Reader. CONFORMITY. "....I was interested in your article on conformity. I'm a non-conformist, and with all the pressure being put on by the so-called do-gooders and hypocrites, with all their talk about the 'leather jacket, boots, and long sideburn blue-jean wearers--well, the more they try to dictate just what we are supposed to wear the more I object and wear exactly what I like to wear. "I am not a hood and I respect established law, etc., but I strongly resent anybody telling me what I am to wear and what I should not wear, and that they imply that the clothes I wear should automatically make me no good. I had the misfortune of living in Europe during the war, and at that time the Nazis were all out against what was then called the "zazou" boys. The more they tried to make us cut our long hair and wear the clothes they liked their youth groups to wear, the more we over-did the opposite, dressing real sharp-like, with peg pants, white socks, long jackets etc., and of course our hair was ever so long, with a fine duck-tail. I was just a teenager then (I'm 31 now) but my friends and I resented the way we were being dictated to. A few of my friends were cornered by members of the Hitler Jugend group and they not only got beatings, but had their hair shaved off, clothes ripped etc. We couldnt do much about it, but we got back at them, now and then. And now I seem to be getting that some feeling back again. Every time I read a magazine or newspaper and they write about hoods and delinquents they mention the type of clothes I and many other Americans like to wear without being bums. The truth is some of the countrys most dangerous criminals are wearing business suits, and a very small minority of the fellows who wear boots, levis and leather jackets have any criminal proclivities at all. Well, I emphasize it again, the more they try to force us not to dress this way, the greater pleasure we will take in defying them. Thanks for hearing me out.".....Dino Savona Northport (L. I.)
